Peter commenced employment with James FJ Auswild & Co in 1970 so in 2020, he celebrated 50 years in the industry, a remarkable milestone. In this time, Peter has seen a vast amount of changes including the introduction of new taxes and regimes, droughts, floods, fluctuating interest rates, changing political parties, booms and recessions and everything else that comes with such changes. Peter believes he has had the privilege of working with some very wise people, and learning from all their experiences. He is a highly skilled accountant, who always goes above and beyond to help his clients. He thoroughly enjoys working with clients to help develop their business and achieve their life goals. Special areas of interest are business structures, self-managed superannuation funds, succession planning and strategic farm management.
Peter is a Fellow with the CPA and TIA, a member of the IPA and NTAA and an SMSF Specialist Advisor with the SMSF Association.
On a personal note, Peter has been married to his wife Joanne since 1977 and they have six daughters and 8 grandchildren. Peter was born in Temora and raised on his parents farming property in the Bland at Quandialla. He attended St Bridget’s Convent before moving to Tallimba and finally Temora in 1964 finishing his school days at St Anne’s Convent. Peter is also an avid Manly supporter – go Sea Eagles!

Michelle has been working at Auswild & Broad Pty Ltd since 1998, starting out as a trainee accountant. She became a Partner in 2013 and has played a pivotal role in the evolution of the business, leading with a commitment to self-education, empathy and strive for excellence. Michelle specialises in SMSF superannuation strategies and enjoys helping clients develop plans that protect assets and enhance succession. She is very familiar with MYOB, having worked with the program for over 20 years. In addition to her Temora clients, Michelle is the manager of the Narrandera office, travelling to Narrandera twice a month.
Michelle went to Temora High School, and graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2001. She holds a Public Practice Certificate with CPA and IPA, is a member of the NTAA and is an SMSF Specialist Advisor with the SMSF Association. She also has an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning from IIT.
On a personal note, Michelle's husband Mark owns a graphic design studio in Temora and they have four beautiful children – Ben, Amali, Jake and Abbey.
Manager

Michael has been with the firm for nearly 30 years, starting with JJ Broad & Co in 1992. He has a Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting & Economics from Charles Sturt University and is a member of the SMSF Association. Michael is an experienced accountant with excellent tax and accounting skills. A valued member of our team, Michael is very dedicated to his clients, taking a genuine interest in their business and family goals. In addition, Michael has extensive experience in self-managed superannuation funds.
He is a keen sports follower and a passionate supporter of the North Melbourne Kangaroo’s AFL team. Michael is married to Paula, with two daughters, Bridie and Regan.

Tracey Breust has over 30 years’ experience in the accounting profession, and is a well-respected manager at Auswild & Broad Pty Ltd. Tracey is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Canberra. Tracey has a wide range of expertise dealing with taxation and business affairs with skilled consideration. Boasting a background in audit, she has a methodical approach to work and oversees the annual reviews for many clubs and community associations our local area.
Tracey grew up in Yass on a merino sheep stud. After finishing school she moved to Canberra to complete her degree whilst working for Price Waterhouse. She later returned to Yass to work with a local firm. Tracey has been with Auswild & Broad since 2000. Tracey has two sons, Jake and Trent.
Kylie started working at Auswild & Broad Pty Ltd in 2005 after taking a break from the workforce to raise her four children – Gabrielle, Emily, James and Ben. Kylie is the manager for our SMSF’s and very capably manages the accounting compliance for approximately 120 superfunds within the office.
Kylie also assists Peter and Michelle with some of our biggest clients and has excellent tax planning skills. She is familiar with MYOB, proficient in BGL SF360 and has a solid understanding across business and farming enterprises. Quick witted, Kylie can always be relied on to lighten the mood and she adds humour and compassion to any situation.
Accountant

Fiona started working with us in the Narrandera office in 2008, but has been part of the team in Temora for quite a few years now.
Fiona completed her accounting degree at Charles Sturt University and is now studying to become a CPA. A gifted accountant, Fiona’s technical and accounting skills have been developing steadily. She provides compliance advice and guidance to farm and small business clients. In particular, Fiona’s strengths include helping clients with Phoenix and MYOB book keeping matters. Fiona travels to Narrandera once a month, having maintained close ties with the Narrandera community.
Fiona is one of the “cool kids” of the office – she loves music, crochet, fitness and has a quirky collection of colourful shoes.
Karen has had a long association with Auswild & Broad, having worked with Peter for many years before following to A & B Financial Planning to work as a Paraplanner. She returned to Auswild & Broad in 2012 stepping back into accountancy and book keeping.
A very competent accountant, Karen’s work is always of a high standard. She is thorough and well organised, familiar with both Phoenix and MYOB software programs.
She travels to Narrandera once a month.
Karen is married to Garry and she has two sons and a baby grand daughter.
Administration Manager/Personal Assistant
Laurette is our very efficient Administration Manager. Part of this role includes responsibility for the management of our debtor accounts and fees. If you have any queries about your accounts, or if you want to set up a payment plan then you should speak to Laurette. If you want her to pull some strings for you – coffee is a good start!
Laurette is proficient in the use of BGL CAS360, and attends to all our ASIC company administration including annual reviews, ordering new companies, trading names and annual trustee resolutions.
Laurette is also Peter's personal assistant. She is extremely capable, thorough and well organised, and is a most valuable asset to our business.
Laurette has two lovely children, Xander and Izzy. Outside of work, she is a gifted cook and enjoys cycling and music. She is also actively involved in the local soccer club.
Accountancy Support
Mandy has been with us since 2017 working part-time providing accountancy support to our managers.
Always eager to help, Mandy assists with the preparation of BAS’s, financials and tax returns and she has an acute knowledge of farming given that her family operate a very successful farm operation. Particular strengths include RAA forms, budgeting and Phoenix.
Mandy is married to Rob and they have three daughters Brianna, Victoria and Emma.
Administration Support
Narelle started with Auswild & Broad Pty Ltd in 2007 as a receptionist but has since moved on to an administrative support role. Narelle’s main duties include lodgement of all returns, liaison with the ATO and general office duties. Narelle is the first point of call for any administrative ATO issues such as lodgement extensions, payment plans and interest remissions. She lives in Stockinbingal and has a daughter Cass.
Jess started with us in 2017 and she is a very valued member of staff. A real admin super star – Jess helps with general administration tasks, corporate compliance, superannuation compliance and pretty much anything else that needs to be done around the office. Jess also administers DocuSign for us (electronic signing) including sending out and managing hundreds of Job keeper applications and claims each month.
Her friendly personality is refreshing whilst her enthusiasm and initiative is most appreciated.
Jess is married to Brad and she has a wicked sense of humour and an adventurous spirit.
Administration Support, IT
Jason has worked at Auswild & Broad Pty Ltd since 2001. Jason’s main role is to provide administrative support to the managers. He assists with the preparation of BAS’s and is very experienced with Phoenix, having used the program for many years.
Jason is also our internal IT guru. A large part of Jason’s time is spent liaising with our software companies and IT consultants to ensure that our tech stack is operating smoothly and efficiently.
Receptionist/Administration Support
Alicia has been employed with us since 2012 working part-time on reception and administrative duties. Her friendly personality and eagerness to help is most welcoming.
Alicia has the unenviable responsibility of tracking you down if you don’t send your tax documents back, and she also forms part of our superannuation team.
In her spare time, Alicia enjoys watching the football and spending time with her friends and family. Alicia is married to Casey and they have four young children, Jayla, Chase, Maya and Nash.
Receptionist
Jenny was originally employed with JJ Broad & Co and has been part of the business since 1996. Jenny works part time on Reception and her friendly, no fuss manner is very welcomed by our clients and staff alike.
Jenny has a large family and is very proud of her children and grandchildren.
Filing Clerk
Kaylene has been employed with Auswild & Broad Pty Ltd for nearly 40 years, making her one of our longest standing employees. Kaylene’s role is as filing clerk and she helps keeps track of the thousands of documents we receive each year.
Kaylene is married and her family operate a small farming business in Temora.
Filing Clerk/Administrative Assistant
Brittany has been with us since 2013 and works part time as a filing clerk and administration assistant. For the past several years Brittany has had the mammoth task of electronically archiving all our old work papers and files across the Temora, West Wyalong and Narrandera offices.
In addition to doing the daily mail and banking, Brittany also has one of the most important jobs in the office – the Friday morning coffee run! Brittany is always happy and is a pleasure to have around the office.
Accountant/Administration Support
Jean has worked tirelessly at our Narrandera office for over 20 years. Jean is a very capable all-rounder. She covers reception duties, office administration tasks, and assists with the preparation of tax returns, financials and BAS’s as well as generally ensuring that the Narrandera office is running smoothly. An absolute pleasure to work with, our Narrandera office simply would not function without her!
Jean is married to Lloyd and her family is well known and liked in the Narrandera district.
Sue works part time on Reception in our Narrandera office. She exemplifies the perfect balance between friendly and professional and is always willing to assist our Narrandera clients.
Sue is married to Paul and together, they also operate a B & B business in Narrandera.
Dayanna started work for Auswild & Broad in 2008. Dayanna is employed part time as a receptionist and provides administration assistant for our West Wyalong office.
Dayanna is confident in MYOB Essentials and has a basic knowledge of Tax and BAS preparation. She is always willing to help and her friendly, bubbly personality is very much appreciated.
She is a very proud Mum to two children – Thomas and Emily.
